Author's Guidelines

Author's Guidelines:

Authors and researchers working on literatures and linguistic aspects of Arabic, English, Persian, Punjabi and Urdu are encouraged to submit their original research and review articles in Urdu and English. We only publish fresh and unpublished research. Book reviews are not accepted.

  • General Guidelines

Complete length of the manuscript should be between 5000-7000 words excluding Abstract and end notes. It should be formatted to be on A4 sized paper, with 14pt font size for the text and 16-pt for headings.

Article submitted to Tahqeeq-o-tajzia  for publication may include a maximum of two co-authors in addition to the principal author.

  1. Abstract :( 14pt, Bold, Times New Roman)

The abstract of the manuscript should be in the range of 150 (min) to 250 (max) words. The abstract must meet the below given criteria:

1- Should be a single paragraph with continuous synchronized sentences.
2- No sub heading and bullets are allowed.
3- If any abbreviation is used, its definition is necessary at its first mention.
4- Abstract must clearly and briefly defines the problem, research methodology, and
 author’s contribution to approach the defined problem and outcomes of the research.
5-Keywords: For indexing purpose, 3-7 keywords are required related to the article.

  • References:

All references are required to be complete, accurate, authentic and primary (Journal, online books, proceedings, patents, authentic websites with permanent archival policy). 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 14-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined above.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
