Faiz Ahmed Faiz is one of the most significant references in Pakistan's cultural life. His literary and poetic stature is undoubtedly acknowledged, and no one feels any disgrace in accepting that he is the most prominent poet of contemporary Urdu. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was not only a poet, but he also led a practical struggle to improve the lives of the Pakistani people. The struggle he participated in for the rights of the people went through arduous phases. As a result of this struggle, Faiz faced the hardships of unemployment, exile, and imprisonment with bravery. It is strange that some short-sighted and narrow-minded individuals question Faiz's patriotism. It is clear from his writings and his entire life that Faiz remained connected to his soil and his people until the very end. He chose a difficult life by renouncing comfort and luxury, but he did not shy away from the jihad to realize the dreams of making Pakistan a welfare state. This article attempts to provide an intellectual response to the recurring doubts about Faiz's patriotism.
