Abstract

Zahida Hina is a well-known name in the field of fiction, novel writing, drama, poetry and journalism. She has presented the problems and sufferings faced by women in her stories with great compassion. She is fully aware of the exploitation of women in the name of society and religion and raises her voice against it with complete honesty and boldness. However, she prefers to be a champion of human rights instead of being a part of the Feminism movement. She considers women's rights as human rights and emphasizes the need to struggle for their achievements. The prominent feature of the female characters in Zahida Hina's stories is their colorfulness and diversity. Her feminine characters include women who grew up in the shadow of Eastern civilization, ordinary housewives, women with a revolutionary mind who have constructive strength, oppressed women bound by restrictions, women with mental and psychological confusion, widows who are victims of war and conflict, women with progressive and liberal thinking, intelligent, educated and enlightened, women who raise their voices against partisan forces and anti-human protests.
