This paper explores the personal and professional journey of Mahpara Safdar, a distinguished Pakistani broadcaster, whose autobiography "Mera Zamana Meri Kahani" reflects not only her individual experiences but also the sociopolitical landscape of Pakistan. Through her narrative, she highlights critical issues such as class disparity, lack of basic amenities, poor governance, and a failing educational system. Her autobiography also reveals a deep sense of worry and concern for the future of Pakistan, as she constantly reflects on its challenges and lost potential. Her comparisons between the UK and Pakistan expose the deep- rooted structural inequalities and administrative failures in her homeland. Despite her migration to the UK and professional success with the BBC, Mahpara's emotional connection to Pakistan remains powerful and unwavering. It also underscores how Western societies have adopted and implemented Islamic principles more justly than Muslim nation themselves. In this article, we will highlight Mahpar’s ideology of patriotism.
