Far from outright rejection, this "negative sensibility" functions as a critical introspective tool. By dissecting sectarianism, religious hypocrisy, and the erosion of secular ethos, 21st-century Urdu afsana provides a poignant commentary on contemporary existential crises. Ultimately, this genre serves as a mirror to society, questioning rigid orthodoxies while striving to reclaim a more humane, inclusive, and compassionate spiritual essence within modern literature.
