Abstract

Abstract: Mikhail Bakhtin emerges as a literary critic in Russian formalism. He has different concepts of seeing literature than other formalists, including carnival, heteroglossia, deglossia, polyphonic and chronotope. These concepts are related to Marxist thought. If seen, they are purely related to society. If the literature is evaluated based on them, there are many factors that challenge the power system and help in the development of democracy. In this article, effort is made to analyse the above mentioned concepts of Mikhail Bakhtin.
