Abstract

Mustansar Hussain Tarar is one of the important and influential travelogue writers of Urdu literature. He has written many travelogues as well as novels, including "Bahau", "Rakh", "Pyaar Ka Pehla Shahr" and Khas –O- Khashak Zamany. One of these novels is "Shahr Khali, Kucha Khali". This novel focuses on the events that happened to a single person during the Corona epidemic. The events in the novel are described in such a way that the flavor of feelings, sometimes connects them with historical events, sometimes with foreign literature and sometimes with  indigenous literature. Thoughts and ideas that usually don't even come close to us in the race of life. But with isolation came the acute realization that the newly formed societies were originally habitats for different animals. Like the habitat of the deer with which the author has a dialogue. The above mentioned novel opens up new doors of feelings along with satire on social attitudes. This article presents an analysis of this novel.
