Saqi Farooqi's Poem:Intellectual and Technical Aspects

Abstract

Saqi Farooqi is one of those poetic voices of Urdu whose poems are unique both in terms of subject and style. He is counted among those poets of the twentieth century who did not shun tradition in the desire to be innovative, but continued on their creative journey with the healthy attitude of the classical tradition. Where the political and country conditions affect the life of a common man, the poet is also affected by contemporary conditions and events unlike other people. Saqi accepted influences from contemporary national and international events, which resulted in his comprehensive poetic thought.
