The View of the Persion Gazala of Sakha Dehlvi

Abstract

Syed Nazeer Hassan Sakha Delhvi was an Urdu and Persian ghazal writer, He belongs to  the classical trend of the Daagh school of Urdu poetry ,and a much respected literary critic. He was a disciple of Hafiz Shirazi who was a disciple of Mirza Khan Daagh Delhvi . He wrote romantic and sensuous ghazals in simple, minimizing usage of Persian words. He laid great emphasis on the Persian idioms and its usage. He was a respected poet in his own day and was considered the best romantic poet. In this article ,an effort is made to analyze the Urdu Gazal of  Sakha Dehlvi.
