Abstract

The novel "Lavakh" is a breath of fresh air in the contemporary literary scene, which was published in September 2023. This novel is also being discussed among the teachers and students of literary gatherings and universities; The story of the novel is based on one of the revolutionary actions that took place during the War of Independence in 1857, which is also known in history as the "Murray Rebellion of 1857". It contains a good deal of colonial context as per the period in which the story is set. Colonialism is basically a complete system under which a powerful state or nation suppresses a weak state or nation by its power and starts ruling it by force.
